For twelve years I trained as competitive acrobat and dancer. Handstands, back-bending, contortion, I could do it all. Yet, there was something missing. Despite being able to naturally be physically fit for Asana most of my life, the practice never felt ‘whole’ to me. I knew that beyond the physical practice there was something deeper for me to explore. A spiritual fulfilment to be found.
In 2016 I began studying traditional Hatha under Samrat Dasgupta, Ashtanga under Clayton Horton, and Iyengar under George Dovas in Hong Kong. I was blessed to have studied traditional Asana under the disciples of direct guidance of Pattabhis Jois, Geeta Iyengar, and Swami Satyananda of Bihar school of Yoga.
At age 25 I went to India where I was first introduced to Kriya Yoga and Tantric Yoga; A new science of Yoga that introduced me to ancient meditation technique of energy and breath control as a means of expanding awareness and consciousness. It was during this trip that I began to experience the holistic practice of Yoga as a benefit for the body, mind, and spirit.
Inspired by the tantric teachings of Octavio Salvador, founder of The Practice in Bali, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute, and guru, Sadhguru, I continue to dedicate myself to the study and practice of Tantra and Hatha Yoga.
By weaving together the science of tantra and Hatha Yoga, my intention is to offer a spiritual path that invites students to develop a greater sense of awareness that transcends beyond the mat and into a personal evolution. A strong asana practice and exploration of tantric meditative techniques that grounds students to a closer sense of Self.
